Start here: complete step-by-step guides

Your first WordPress website, step by step (no coding)

From a new account to a live WordPress site on your own domain with HTTPS — every click explained.

  1. Create your Cloud Ninza account
  2. Have a domain ready (or start without one)
  3. Launch WordPress
  4. Wait for the "ready" email
  5. Point your domain to us
  6. Check and turn on HTTPS
  7. Sign in to WordPress
  8. Make your first backup

1. Create your Cloud Ninza account

Go to cloudninza.com → Get started, enter your name, email, mobile and a password, then type the 6-digit code we email you. Next open Account verification and fill in your PAN and address (two minutes; the details go on your GST invoices).

2. Have a domain ready (or start without one)

If you already own a domain, keep the login for your registrar handy — you will change two settings there in step 5. If not, buy one from any registrar first, or choose Give me a free address in the next step to start on a free yourname.cloudninza.in address and connect a domain later.

3. Launch WordPress

In the dashboard press Create app (top bar) or Launch an app in the menu. Then:

  • Blueprint: WordPress
  • Plan: Starter is enough for a new business site; you can change plans later and pay only the difference
  • Web address: type your domain (without www) or pick the free address
  • Keep Install WordPress for me ticked
  • Choose 1, 3 or 5 years — longer terms cost less per year — and pay by UPI, card or netbanking

4. Wait for the "ready" email

Your site is created automatically after payment and we email you when it is ready. It then appears under My apps and sites as Live.

5. Point your domain to us

Sign in at your registrar, open the domain's DNS (sometimes called Manage DNS or DNS zone) and set two records. The IP is shown in your dashboard under Domains.

  • Type A, Name/Host @, Value/Points to = our IP
  • Type A, Name/Host www, Value/Points to = our IP
  • Delete any other A or AAAA records for @ and www (they point to the old host)
  • Do not touch MX records — they are your email

6. Check and turn on HTTPS

Open Domains: DNS right now turns to Points here once the change has spread — usually minutes, sometimes a few hours. Then press Issue free SSL, tick Always use HTTPS and press Save changes. Open https://yourdomain.com — you will see the WordPress starter site.

7. Sign in to WordPress

In My apps and sites, select the site and press Open WordPress admin — you are signed straight in, no password needed. From there: Appearance → Themes to choose a design, Pages → Add New for your pages, Settings → General for the site title.

8. Make your first backup

Open Backups, choose the site, press Make a backup, then Download it to your computer. Do this again before big changes such as a new theme.
