The big picture
A website or app is a set of files and a program that has to run on a computer that is always on and connected to the internet. That computer is a server. Hosting means renting space and power on a server. Cloud hosting means the server is in a professional datacenter, run for you, and you manage everything from a web dashboard — no hardware to buy.
On Cloud Ninza you pick a blueprint (WordPress, PHP, Node.js, Python or Java), a plan (how much storage and memory), and a web address. We create everything on our servers in India; you put your site or code in place.
Words you will meet
- Domain — your address, like
yourbusiness.com. You buy it from a registrar (GoDaddy, Hostinger, BigRock, Namecheap…). We do not sell domains. - DNS — the internet's phone book. An A record tells the world which server IP your domain lives on.
- IP address — the server's number, like
151.185.41.197. It is shown in your dashboard under Domains. - SSL / HTTPS — the padlock in the browser. We issue a free certificate in one click.
- Blueprint — the kind of site: WordPress, PHP & CMS, Node.js, Python or Java.
- Plan — the size: storage, memory (RAM) and how many sites or apps.
- Git — a tool that keeps the history of your code. GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket store it online.
- Deploy — putting a new version of your code live.
- Terminal — a text window where you type commands. Ours opens in the browser.
- SSH — a secure way to open that terminal from your own computer. SFTP — copying files over the same secure connection.
- Environment variable — a setting your app reads, like a database password, kept outside your code.
- Database — where an app keeps its data (users, orders, posts).
Which guide to follow next
- A business website with no coding → Your first WordPress website, step by step
- A plain HTML/CSS site → Upload a static HTML website
- A developer project → the step-by-step guide for your framework (Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, Django, FastAPI, Laravel, Spring Boot)
- Never used Git or a terminal → Install the tools on your computer, then Put your code on GitHub
