Databases

Connect MongoDB Atlas (or any external database)

Allow our IP, save the connection string, attach it to your app.

  1. Allow our server
  2. Save it here
  3. Test and attach

1. Allow our server

MongoDB Atlas → Security → Network Access → Add IP Address → enter the IP shown under Databases → External databases with /32. Wait until it says Active. (A paused free cluster also refuses connections.)

2. Save it here

Databases → External databases → name + connection string (mongodb+srv://user:password@cluster…/db) → Save. It is stored encrypted.

3. Test and attach

Press Test (checks our server can reach it), then Attach to app — it sets MONGODB_URI (or a name you choose) and restarts the app.
