Files, code and terminal

Using the File manager

Upload, extract, edit, permissions — everything in the browser.

  1. Where things are
  2. Upload a site
  3. Edit a file
  4. Permissions

Where things are

  • web/yourdomain.com/public_html — WordPress and PHP sites
  • web/yourdomain.com/app — Node.js, Python and Java apps
  • tmp — scratch space
  • Your home folder itself is read-only; work inside these folders

Upload a site

Open the folder → Upload (or drag files in, up to 100 MB each) → select the ZIP → Extract. Bigger files: use SFTP.

Edit a file

Double-click a text file (or Edit), change it, Ctrl/⌘+S. Changes are live immediately.

Permissions

Select → Permissions: 644 for files, 755 for folders, 600 for files holding passwords (.env, wp-config.php).
